Checking In

Hi!!  First of all, I want to say we are all okay and doing great!  Y'all are so sweet to email and check on us since I haven't posted in months.  I have a lot of reasons for not posting but nothing really earth shattering.  Ha!  The main reason is that Reagan pulled my camera off the counter back in September so I haven't had a camera (besides my phone) since then.  I haven't done one thing to my house.  I didn't even decorate for fall!  That even shocked me. :)  I am sewing every free minute I have.  We just got really busy this fall with BSF, Mother's Day Out and Awanas.  Those are pretty much the reasons why I am not posting.  But I do post almost daily on Instagram.  My ID is "blessournest" if you would like to follow there!

The wonderful Amber Dickey took our pictures a few weeks ago and I love them!  Westin and Reagan are growing up so quickly!  I cannot believe how fast it goes.

This is seriously the only change I have made to our house.  I've been wanting a large window to go over the mantle and finally found one!  Here is the before:

And the after:

Cody and I talked today about re-painting our kitchen, living room and dining room.  They have been the same colors since the day we moved in.  We are ready for a change!

We got my sewing machine and supplies out of the dining room (finally!) and set up a little corner in the guest room.  I absolutely love going in here during nap time and just sewing away.

Speaking of sewing, here are a few things I've sewn recently.  A baby doll and super hero for Reagan and Westin.  We made these in our sewing group and used a free pattern we found on pinterest.

This is a knot dress with a removable apron.  Reagan will wear it for Thanksgiving with the apron but without the apron after that.

I'm excited for Reagan to wear this outfit around Christmas!

And this dress.

Thanksgiving shirts for a friend's daughters.

I didn't leave Westin out.  I made him a turkey shirt.  :)  You can see it on instagram along with many more sewing projects and pictures of our day to day life!

Thanks again for checking on us!  I probably won't be posting on here again anytime soon.  My passion has just moved on to sewing and instagram.  :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Gigi's 90th

At the end of August we got to celebrate my Grandmother turning 90.  She is the same one a lot of you prayed for back in Jan-Feb because she was in the ICU.  She is healthy now and looking great!  My mom put a lot of time into making sure her party was a surprise and beautiful.

For the table decorations we mixed and matched silver, crystal and milkglass.  My three favorite things!  We also scattered old photos around and little fun tidbits of information of things that happened in 1923.

My other grandparents were able to come too!

We were only missing Jessica (Andrew's wife) in this picture.

Four generations.

We made this canvas for her with the great-grandkid's hand prints on it.  I got the idea from @magnoliacreativeco on instagram.  She did hers on pottery but we used a canvas.

She said she had a great time and was completely surprised so it was perfect!  It was a special day celebrating a special woman.

Closet Dividers Discount Code

Watch Me Grow has started to make baby closet dividers as well as their popular monthly stickers.  This was just what I needed to get Reagan's closet organized!  I had them start at 12 months and go to 3T.  I have a little problem with buying ahead and if it is a cute smocked dress for a good price, I will buy it, even if it is a 3T.  :)

I don't really have that problem with boy clothes so Westin's closet is only filled with his current size.  They sent me the Monday-Friday dividers so I can get organized and stay on top of my mornings.  I don't have to think about what he will wear that day.

As always, Watch Me Grow offers such cute styles!  I went with the Nautical set for both kiddos but I thought all their designs were so cute!

Right now they are offering 20% off with the coupon code "closet".  These are a perfect baby gift because they already come packaged to give!  I would have loved to receive a set of these while pregnant.  :)

Beach Vacation 2013

We have had a great summer!  I'm trying to catch up on some posts before things get busy around here with MDO, Bible Study, soccer, AWANAS and more!  I'm looking forward to getting back on a normal schedule.

We were able to go to the beach last month and as usual, we had a lot of fun!  Westin still preferred the pool over the ocean (it probably didn't help anything that I screamed when I was holding him in the ocean because a fish swam past me) but Reagan loved the sand and enjoyed playing in it.

The whole family!
We continued the tradition of releasing balloons for Reese since we went a few days before her birthday.  Four red balloons for four years.

 BFF cousins.

The cousin pics never really turn out how you picture them in your head.  ;)  We did get one decent one.
Most looked like these two though.  :)

I bought this dress for Reagan on Zulily before she was even walking.  I just fell in love with it.  I had to take some pictures of her in on our last night.

I have one more giveaway coming up this week!  And thanks for your patience on the past two raffle copter giveaways.  That was all new to me! :)

Build A Sign Giveaway

I'm back with another fun giveaway today!  I have soooo much blogging to catch up on and hope to get to that this weekend.  In the meantime, I think you will like the giveaway this week and a different one going up next week.

BuildASign.com sent me this fun 3'x6' banner!  I got to pick out the picture and wording to make it completely custom.  You can put whatever you want on it and you don't even have to do a picture.  I think it is so fun to have a birthday banner to hang up at each birthday with a picture of them when they are one.

I hung Westin's up at his birthday parties and it is so fun to see how much he is growing and changing.

These are very nice quality vinyl signs that will last for years and years.  The company also offers so many more things besides making banners!  They make T-shirts, canvases, magnets, bumper stickers, and so much more.

One lucky winner will get to choose:
- An 8"x10" Canvas Photo Prints From Printcopia
- A $25 BuildASign.com Gift Card -
A $25 Gift Card for Custom T-Shirts from Allied Shirts

Enter below!  Good luck!

Beautiful Reese

I can't believe it's been four years since I saw your beautiful face and held you.  You accomplished more in three days of life then some people accomplish in one hundred years.  You continue to inspire me and others four years later.  Your name is on my mind every single day.  We love you and miss you so very much.

Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

July Catch Up

Don't forget to enter the giveaway below if you haven't already.  And I'll have a couple more fun giveaways coming up soon too!

Where to begin???  I am completely slacking on the blog front.  I thought summers were supposed to be schedule free and relaxing.  Seems like we are going more than ever these days.  Plus I don't really have much to blog about "home d├ęcor" wise, but here is a little July catch up on our family.

Fourth of July week some of our small group girls took our kids to visit the nursing home that we have adopted.
The kids passed out flags and cards they had made.
We wore our red, white and blue to church on Sunday too.
On the fourth we did sparklers with our neighbors.

The next week I turned 31.  My sewing group had the delicious cake for me!
Most of our days have been filled with our attempts at beating the heat.  We play in the water almost every day.
We also have a superhero living in our house!
This past weekend we got to celebrate Colson's birthday!
Westin and Reagan love their cousin!
The party was so fun and included water balloon games which were hilarious to watch!
Sunday we wore our red white and blue again without even thinking about it.  :)
After lunch we caught Reagan red handed.  She climbed up on a high chair and was chowing down on a cupcake!  I seriously cannot turn my back for one second around her.
And lastly, we sent this boy off with Gran and G-Daddy for a week of fun.  He was very excited to go have them all to himself!  I sure will miss him though!
